Surrounded by the regent slopes of the hills of eastern Rwanda, the visitor comes upon an area of vast Savannah. Here, the light is softer than elsewhere, a slight breeze ripples through an ocean of grass and caresses the morning mists rising slowly from the plains, revealing a landscape which is unreal and changeable. The song of the lake trills joyously through the air, while the mocking cry of the ibis can be hear from afar. Its Savannah, plains, marshes and lakes are consecrated to wild life. This is two days game drive in Akagera Park.
