About This Program

Women are vital to building stronger families and healthier ecosystems. Our Women’s Empowerment & Inclusion program in Kisoro, Uganda focuses on equipping women with the skills, knowledge, and support necessary to thrive economically and contribute to sustainable development. Training in sustainable agriculture and business We provide hands-on training to women on sustainable farming methods and basic business management, helping them improve food security, increase incomes, and run environmentally friendly enterprises. Village saving groups and micro-finance We support the creation and strengthening of village saving groups, giving women access to micro-finance services that enable them to save, borrow, and invest in small businesses, fostering financial independence and community resilience. Girls’ education support and leadership mentorship Our program promotes girls’ education through scholarships and mentorship opportunities, cultivating young female leaders who will drive positive change in their communities and advocate for environmental conservation. Programs for widows and single mothers Recognizing their unique challenges, we offer targeted support to widows and single mothers, including skills development and income-generating activities that help them achieve stability and empowerment. Empowering women is fundamental to sustainable development and conservation in Kisoro.
