Depart from Kigali and travel through the rolling hills of Western Rwanda to Gishwati-Mukura. After settling in at a community eco-lodge, enjoy a gentle introductory walk through nearby farmland buffer zones and forest edges, guided by local experts. Learn about the park’s conservation history and its unique mix of East and Central African flora.
Join park rangers for a nature immersion trek through the park’s core forest zone. Along the way, spot L’Hoest monkeys, golden monkeys, and countless butterflies. Visit a small waterfall tucked within the forest for a picnic lunch. Spend the afternoon in quiet observation or optional meditation on a forest platform.
